there is a fellow on my local craigslist that selsl carfax reports for 2$ sometimes free, i posted that i needed one for my pinto but apparently my VIN isnt long enough.... how do i obtain a vehicle history report with the older VIN number?

Trent,

  You not going to find any real reports off carfax for a Pinto.  There information does not go back that far.  I have an 85 Supra and the carfax report is not nearly complete and there are a whole bunch of errors in it.  Carfax told me that it is to old for accurate records.

thats kindof what i figured but was holding out that i could include a report with my pinto when i sell it as a bit of re-assurance but its all gravy  8)
