I just bought a 1980 Pinto. Tried searching the forums but, couldn't find out what the "Pony" is on the side of my fender.
Thank You.
As far as I know, it is just a name for a certain type of trim package. Pony, MPG, Ralle, are a few that come to mind.
ive got the same car =) mines a trunk model, from what i have gathered the Pinto Pony was the base base base package, with power nothing, no radio, no ac, just a little driver.
gl with your car!
Trent
There is never any stupid questions as far as Pintos go.So ask away.
I recall that in the very late seventies, a few cars were being sold in stripped down, plainer than plain versions. Chrysler had the Plymouth Horizon Miser. Ford had the Pinto Pony. The all-time award for cheapness went to GM with its stripped down Chevy Chevette. I think it was called a Chevette Sprint. It was actually built without a back seat.
The only stupid questions are the ones we should have asked and didn't.
Ok then:
Can a bee sting itself??
it would have to be a very limber bee
well alrighty then. thanx.
