Title: Turbo Toy 1/8 mile run
Post by: turbo toy on September 19, 2006, 03:25:12 PM
This is a run I made at Ware Shoals Dragway this summer. The air was terrible. It was 97 degrees and the humidity was over 80 percent. This run was 7.62 @94 MPH and a 1.57 60 foot time. The car is a turbo 2.3 and a true daily driver that still gets 23 MPG..Hope you like it.

Ahhh, now I understand, mine is nearly stock with every body interior &  exterior part intact and I'm running mid 9's with slipery street tires. Next purchase is traction bars & cheater slicks to get rid of the 2.20 60 footers.

Tommy,I have the Pinto down for some major mods right now. When I roll her back out I will give you a call and we will go hurt some peoples feelings. The NEW and IMPROVED PINTO should run the 1/4 mile in the 10's at around 130 MPH and still be a daily driver 4 banger.Later.

I usually run my car at about 18/19 PSI at the track and the street. One time my wastegate was not working right and I boosted 28 lbs.  :o :o The car would not drive straight and would literally through you back into the seat. The car boosted so quickly I almost could not shift fast enough...( evil laugh.I want more...... )
