Will a mustang or capri center console fit in a pinto? If not, what will?
I've seen them in Pintos so im sure they will fit. It might take a little cutting but they sure look good.
My brother has an 86 gt mustang 5 spd. and one day I took the console out and tried it in my car. And to the best of knowledge it all fit. Shifter was in the shifter hole and the e-brake handle came through where it was supposed to. If I get a chance I'll try to dig up the console and try it again and I'll report my results on exact fit. It looked pretty killer too. If I remember right it came pretty close to the bottom of the dash so it looked almost like it belonged there.

I mounted one in a 'StangII so I'll almost guarantee it'll fit a Pinto. I intend to use one in mine
What would be the best year model to look for? I found a nice '74 mustang ghia and one for a '79-'86. Both look good in pics but which would bo the best fit?
The 74 Ghia would most likely be a drop in part. The later model will match dimensions almost exactly though. it comes down to what you think looks good in your eyes.
I have one out of 74 mustang. All you have to do is file down the tray where the parking break is. It looks cool. If you check out my web page you can see.
