Title: 74 suspension on a 71
Post by: fastbak390 on September 07, 2006, 12:31:28 AM
Hey guys,

Ive gotten my hands on the front suspension from the strut rods and control arms back from a 74 Mustang II/Pinto to potentially onto my 71. What mods are necessary to install it or can it just bolt up? Do I need the later model tie rods?

Not a bolt on upgrade as the 71-73 is different from 74-up. I think you will have to cut out the crossmember and weld in the 74-up crossmember to make all the arms fit, then the rack&pinion is different also.
