Title: The best hood scoop for a turbo Pinto
Post by: Boss2300 on September 03, 2006, 07:03:53 PM
I think I may have found the best hood scoop for a turbo Pinto. See the pic & let me know what you think. Easy to install drill 2 holes & bolt fast. Easy to open in an emergency. I can think of another use in an emergency. What more could you want.

BTW: There is no need for a scoop.

All right. This warrants a definite High_Horse response.
At first glance this looks like a toilet seat set transversly atop a Pinto hood. I will assume.
It is obvious that this concept application might be appropriatly called " Bowel Induction".
If I were to include the hinging mechanism into the concept perameters then I would have to call it a " Variable Velocity Bowel Induction Hood Scoop" or a VVBIHC. Boss2300 has definitly preformed what I call an association of technologies. I have gone through great lengths to be able to put a 302 into ThunderPinto without having to put on a scoop. I like the way scoops look from the front and side but not from the driver seat....they obstruct veiw. Each time I take T.P. out for a spin
(Not Toilet Paper!!!!.....ThunderPinto!!!) there is obvious heat buildup under the hood that should go somewhere. Enter Cowel Induction. Boss2300's concept would allow for daily driver visibility but could be popped (Not pooped!!!) up for preformance engine compartment venting when that occational street run (Not runs!!!!) presents itself. Furthermore I think manual deployment would be appropriate. High_Horse bows to Boss2300 for the idea. Beyond being user freindly I think this idea is darn cool!!!
