what year, (if any) mustang II leaf springs will fit onto my 80' pinto runabout. But the only complication may be that we put an 8.8'' rear in it (the rear is out of an 88' thunderbird tc)
Thanks,
DHilton
What car has the 8.8, the Stang or the Pinto?
The MII springs are all different and will not fit in any Pinto, and the Wagon springs will not fit a H/B or Sedan either.
I got a pair from jc-whiplash, but be careful, the "pair" they sent me had the pins in different locations so the axle was turned. I had to send one back and the one the returned was spot-on. The only other thing is the rate is too stiff; I pulled the smallest leaf out, put in a spacer, and it sits nice.

ahhhh i hate to be the bearer of bad new lol but i used a set of 77 mustang II springs from a v6 and put them into a 76 sedan. came out fine . i still have the set up in storage. just have not gotten around to putting them in my 79 bobcat yet lol.someone else may have gotten lucky i dont know. with the leaf springs i also used the rear swaybar setup as well as the 8 inch rearend.
Having them bolt in, vs. being correct..
I had a pair, but it was a long time ago. They were close in size, can't remember the difference, but they will have the shackles at an incorrect angle, or the axle located in the wrong spot.
I used a wagon 'one' on my sedan racecar, but that was to MAKE it bind on one side.

thanks a lot guys. thats just the stuff were looking for
Try this but I don't know what spring rate you might want.
