I have a brand set of hooker headers in my pinto with a 351w in it. My question is this what is the best header paint to use so that they don't rust away. I"ve used the cheap stuff and it 10 minutes it is burned off. Does anyone no off a good brand to use. Help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

it will all burn off! your best bet really is to have them ceramic coated....that what i'm doing to my hooker headers.
how much does it cost and who does it? I was thinking about having it done but I've heard the cost is really high.
The price I got on my turbo header was $175 to do it inside and out.
Jim
who does it?
Jetthot i think does it, do a search may its Jethot.

I'll be coating my headers with a couple of cans of John Deere Muffler Black (you can get it at John Deere dealerships and other places). I haven't sprayed them yet, but a few guys on fordmuscle.com swore by it. Believe it or not, barbecue grill paint is also supposed to be very good at dealing with header heat. :o
