So today, I went to look at this pinto at a junkyard. BUT, we never found it, me and my father decided it's probably non-existant anymore. :( But we came across a completed Chevy Vega for $1,250 while we were at the junkyard. Now, I don't know what any Chevy's are worth, it had a straight six, and a 4 spd. It was the CamBack model. Can somebody tell me what they're worth? Or if I should just wait for a Pinto to come along? Cuz I'm not having such good luck with Pintos.
Thanks,

You want a Vagrant?!?! :what:
Hey Garrett,
There are a few Pinto`s for sale in Arizona...a 77 in Tuscon I believe...nice ride! Or are you looking for an earlier model"?
What-ever you do... don`t go to the DARK-SIDE :hypno:

Well, I'm looking for something with the circle headlights. I don't care what year it is if it's got the circle headlights, and I really like the stationwagon, being that it's going to be a drag car, it's gotta have enough room for tubbing it. So I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I offered the guy $850 for the thing.
If I do buy it, we all know, Ford is ALWAYS better than Chevy!!

How soon do you need this wagon?
Well, preferably soon. But I've waited this long. So I can wait longer. Why do you ask wagonmaster?
Thanks,
DriveFords
Because I may have a wagon body you can have. You'd just have to pick it up. It may be 30-60 days before it would be ready to pick up, however. If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you more details.
That would be cool! Year is it?
Thank you WagonMaster.
Thanks,

Does anyone have a Fairlane Wagon?

I like vegas. Sorry, but I had to say it, unrelated to the topic or not. ;D
Vegas can be Pinto-nized. My sister was given a Vega with a dead engine with no hope of recovery. She wanted a driveable car and I had an extra 2000cc with auto. The 2000 engine fits nicely in the Vega. The Pinto engine/drive train must have been lighter since the car's front end was an inch or two higher after the swap. The hard part was converting the front sump to rear sump. I gas welded it up along with the pickup (I was too cheap then to get a Capri pan and pick up). The transmission end of the speedometer cable was machined down in a drill press with a file and it work okay. I used used a stock drive shaft but I can not remember what it came from (its been more than 25 years). The Vegas still do rust out quickly though.
