Title: ignition timing

whats the correct ignition timing for a 79 pinto 2.3L? thanks :iloveu: :ih8u:

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure its in the neighborhood of 38 degrees.  You could always start there and then go up and down till you get the sweet spot.

From what I remember it is 20* BTDC at idle, but I am not positive. I can never find info unless I am not looking for it.

That info should be on the sticker under the hood, or on the valve cover, provided it is still there.
