Title: Need bumpers for my '72 hatchback
Post by: gohuskies77 on August 06, 2006, 01:11:04 PM
:afro:  Hello everyone.  I just bought a '72 hatchback and the bumpers are pretty pitted.  I would like to get a new set.  Does anyone make reproductions?  If not, is this a good place to find used ones??

 :welcome:
If the existing bumper`s are in good shape other than the pitting, you may consider having them re-chromed, if you have someone in your area that doe`s it...I`ve had it done with impressive result`s...chance`s are another used set will be pitted or dinged up as well...Hope this help`s...

Do a google for Keystone and you'll find that they will do any rechroming or get you an aftermarket one.  They usually charge about $150 per bumper and take a couple of weeks.  Keep in mind that if you buy the aftermarket ones they are thiner and ding easier.

I have a pair of 72 bumpers that are in good shape.
