Title: Looking for owner of firepinto site
Post by: moby on August 01, 2006, 10:11:19 AM
Hi All

A couple of years back there was a Firepinto website that had details about building a 3 bulb sequential light circuit, despite searching the web now for ages, and following just about every possible link I have had no luck finding the owner.  He was on a lot of forums as 'firepinto' but most of them linked to the now disappeared website.
I downloaded all the files for my Mercury cougar (I live in South Africa and the sequentials were ripped out of my cougar by a previous owner) one day I am going to rebuild them (one day never comes - right ::)).  Anyway alot of guys on the cougar forums have asked for help with their sequentials over the last few months, so I downloaded the files onto my site, but only provided a link to them on the cougar forum, I would really like to find the guy who owned the site so that I can officially ask for permission to have them on my site, and to get some more details.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Moby

Hello,

I realize this post is almost 3 years old now, but I just found it today.  :D  The website you were looking for was one that I lost when I changed ISP's.  I've been working on starting a new website. I was doing some google searching for my old websites when I found there was still interest in my STS info.  I have been slowly trying to upload some of my old archived website to www.firepinto.com.  I lost my last broadband ISP, so I'm still stuck on a cellular modem. The good part is my site is not a part of any ISP now, so the chances of it disappearing again should be slim.

I've seen the files on the cougar forum, which I don't have any problem with.  I made the sequencer public for anyone to use, so you can put it on your website as long as I get some kind of credit.  ;D  I will have the files hosted on my website also, and I plan on combining all the information into a torrent file for peer to peer sharing.

As I'm writing this, I'm still uploading files to firepinto.com.  So there may not be much there for some hours, days, or infinite dial up internet time. ::)  :)
