Title: 2.3 manifolds and egr lines
Post by: tinkrtime on July 28, 2006, 09:11:02 AM
Hello: I've reached a stumbling point with the 79 pintos drivability this summer, I switched to a later date mustang exhaust manifold couple years back, the orig 2.3 unit was badly rusted (NY+winter+salt=rust), now the egr line doesnt quite line up, I had cobbled up an epoxy "splice" but that blows out every few weeks, this spring in the local bone yard I had found a carbed mustang with an egr line in it but this doesnt quite seem to fit either. Any ideas? If I were to do away with the EGR, I might have troubles come inspection time, and I'd be concerned about too much carbon build up, any advice? Thanks - Mike

Find the correct manifold and tube for that car?? Ebay maybe??

Have the tube welded?
