I'm planning to swap an 8" rearend into my '80 wagon, along with the 302 that I'm currently putting together (this is destined to be a land-speed car, so no low-end torque is needed). Any obstacles or problems with the 8" that I should know about ahead of time? :o
Thanks--
Gary
Should be no problem. Some Pintos came with 8" rears from the factory. Look for one from a V6 car. One from a Mustang II should bolt right in too. The 8" uses the same U-joints as the 6.75" rear, and I didn't have to shorten the driveshaft.
