I'm looking to have some bondo work, and paint done for my pinto.. and I was wondering
what everyone's average costs were.
Thanks A Million.
Travis
Average is relative to damage and location and rust... OH and level of job you want done...
My Yellow Runabout cost 4k, total down to metal shell... Total Restoration... Paint is done but not done with the car yet...
My Green Runabout cost me $900 for a quick sand & shoot alto I had a good body to work with... It's a daily driver, not intrested in that much quality...
Not much help here...
Yeah, really depends on it's current condition and the quality of work done. Paint selection will also vary the cost, since a solid color and single clearcoat will cost much less than a metallic candy w/ multiple clearcoats wetsanded between each coat for that "stare deep into the paint" finish.
I'd suggest you take the car around to a few bodyshops and get quotes. Check out some of their completed work if possible to get a feel for their quality. They should be able to quote you pretty close if they're a decent shop.
Thanks for the information!
