does anybody the the info for timing a 2.3 79 pinto ? with a auto tranny? i have the sticker but it is all peeled away and i cant read it

was doing the timing on my 77 wagon (2300 w/auto) this weekend.... and I'm missing the lable too.

but did find out that advance should be 20 (confirmed w/multiple sources) for mine and suspect yours might be the same.

may want to double check for your year (79) but the rest matches mine..

newer than 77, 2.3 and Auto Trans

well i figured it out its 20 now she is responsive and runnin almost like she should thats good cause it s  a new motor with 60 miles on it

it kinda reminds me of a boat motor taking off when u punch it its cause somone snapped the aircleaner stud off so it rattles a bit
