I have a non assited rack on my car that i just bought (77 wagon), and it came with a ton of extra parts, incl. a power rack, which i hear has a quicker ratio.
I don't want to add the hydraulics, but would like the quicker ratio.
I was told one way was to fill the power rack wtih fluid and join the in/outs together.
But I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to swap the internals...
Also, can you swap the steering arms from side to side? I am interested in making a project car of mine a right hand drive using the pinto rack.
Thanks much!!!

as for using the power rack you can use it by connecting the lines together, but get ready for some pretty high effort at parking speeds. Also it may not last as long without circulating fluid.
I doubt the internals would interchange but I know the guys here can answer that for you.
now flipping a rack will work, but i'd recommend using a manual rack because they're designed for less lubrication, and flipping it may get the rack itself out of the lube.
