I,m relatively new to this site and was wondering how many of ya all are from Washington or Oregon.I was beginning to think I'm the only pinto owner left in WA.Then I found you guys, and gals.I've now discovered I'm not alone,I've met a couple of people in WA recently, and as I expected very nice down to earth people.I thought it might be fun to try to get some local pinto owners together at cruse in night at our local XXX.These are held every Sun and attract allot of very nice cars,But never any pintos. It would be nice to change that one night.Just a thought.
Sounds like fun but, my old 2.3 started to make a new rather funny noise last nite going up a rather long and winding road. The noise got worse going down. The engine swap will take place next week. 2.3 auto to a 2.0 manual tranny. all the parts are in the shop now.
Wish me luck!!!

Went to NAPA on friday to pick up clutch kit, was suprised to find out only $84 bucks for the whole kit. It also suprised me when they had the ring gear in stock for the fly wheel. Only 21 bucks

I have a t-5 in mine.I found the clutch at summit for around $150.00.Now I just have to get motivated.
I'm near Vancouver, across the river from Portland. I'd love to take the Pinto out to a cruise-in, but it will be a couple years before it's road ready. If it wasn't for all the honey-do's around the house, I'd have more time and funding for my turbo swap and restoration, but I doubt that will happen. When it is ready, I'm sure I'll be showing it off as much as possible!
Last weekend I did see someone driving a red hatchback, not sure what year, here locally. If you're on this board, I'm the crazy Harley rider that gave you a thumbs-up at the intersection near Daybreak.
I guess there are 2 of us who have Harleys and the mighty Pinto, what a combo :drunk:
I'm in Portland / Beaverton ;D
Was 3,spinal problems (and wife tired of hearing about it after a day on the road) forced sale of my hard tail.
