Title: Newbie Too!!
Post by: wagonmaster on December 29, 2003, 07:09:45 PM
Hello! My name is Brien, live in Orange County, CA and currently own three Pintos, a factory '79 Panel Delivery, an '80 Squire and a '77 Squire. I have owned three other Pintos over the years that were all '77 Cruisin' Wagons. The Panel is my project vehicle. This one is pretty rare as it is equipped with the V6/C-4, fact A/C, P/S, and P/B. All other panels I have seen have had the 4 cyl. With the pain-in-the-butt smog laws we have here in Cal, I'm planning on keeping the 2.8 V6. My goal is to adapt a T-5 to it and install a 3.40 Trac-Loc 8" rearend I have in it. I'm going to start rebuilding the suspension soon and I will have Koni shocks all around. I have a 1" Addco bar for the front and an NOS Mustang II rear bar to adapt. In fact, if anyone has already done the Mustang II rear bar swap, any tips would be much appreciated! The Panel is currently sitting on 15x7 '86 Mustang Police Special steel wheels with 205/50x15's on the front and 225/50x15's on the rear. It was originally silver with a red interior, but was painted red by a previous owner. The interior will end up black, but not sure what the exterior color will end up being. I've run out of time for the time being. I'll check in again later whe I get home from work.
