Title: 73 Headlight Switch Interchangeable?

Can I interchange headlight switches on my 73? The headlight switch in my 73 does not appear to be working properly. I have ones from other years but I am not sure if I have the one off my 73 parts car.

For what it's worth, I have customized my whole dashboard on my 72 Runabout. In it's place I plan to use a light switch from an 84 F Series pick up. The switch fits the Pinto's original socket plus you have the added benefit of a variable dimmer for your instruments at night. I have not tried it yet so I can't say for sure if it will work, but all seems OK.
And this dash will have a doo doo load of instruments when it's done. Am waiting for it now to come back from the upholstery shop.

I think I have a new 73 light switch still in the box I will have to look and see
