any ideas how to fix a sunroof from leaking when it rains...and where do I find the parts?
Jody
Any luck or further information on finding the seals?? At work, I have access to a rubber bulb seal sold thru Trim-Lok that looks as though it will work for the main seal inside. As for the original felt seal to keep crap out of the gutter, I have no idea. I just have to get the rusted junk out!
I'm sure JC Whitney has a bulb seal available to fit, I just haven't done the research.
I have a '73 with a sunroof also. Believe it or not, the sunroofs were installed aftermarket adn thus the parts are not in the Ford catalog. I concluded that I just have to order similar stock rubber parts from a supplier, and cut them to fit.
Congratulations on having one of the few other Pintos with a sunroof!

I have a 77 Bobcat HB with a factory sunroof and I've not even tried to open it yet. I have a feeling when I do there is a good chance water will pour through the seal and right on down through where the floor used to be. I would love to have a good source where I could get new seals for the roof - I'm virtually certain I'm going to need them.
I've looked in my Chilton and Hayes manuals and don't believe that my sunroof is stock.
I've been told that JC Whitney may have generic seals. It has also been suggested that I go somewhere that installs sunroofs and try to match up the seal.
I finally just siliconed mine shut this winter, but hope to find new seals soon for the warm weather.
Good luck, I'll be watching to see what other replies you get.
