Post by: cole559 on June 22, 2006, 01:53:49 PM
What year pinto has disk brakes on it that will swap over to a 71 drum brake sedan.Better yet is there a 5 lug car that will swap over? I have a drum brake setup and need assistance in getting a setu-p for disk.

I believe Wilwood also has a conversion kit for the '71-'73 that would have 5-lug pattern.

Disc brake set up from 71-73 will swap to the 71.

"1973 Pinto ONLY"

NOTICE If you are doing a Junk Yard swap be sure to get the tie rod ends from a 73 Pinto too as they are bigger than the 71-72 Pinto tie-rods.
The 73 spindles have a bigger arm and bigger hole for the tie-rod than the early 71-72 Pinto.
Not sure about the rack&pinnion "THREADS" though... BIGGER or smaller??????
