Title: Tech. Tip!
Post by: Pintony on May 20, 2006, 08:51:06 PM
Hello Group,
As many know I am a 1971-72 Pinto guy,
While dissmantling my 77 wagon today i found a round vacuum can behind the pass fender.
The can had the bottom completely rusted away.
Some member have poor running engines and blame vacuum leaks for the trouble.
WELL I found a BIG leak in that can!!!!

Hey Pintony,

Im' with you - 71 & 72. Although my first was a 73 Runabout. Only new car I ever purchased.

Was that a Chase & Sanborn or a Maxwell House Can?

Hello Group,
I am starting to load these parts for disposal.
If you need anything call me and I will try to take it off or set it aside.

What condition is the dashboard in???   The top   Also do you still have the little three guage plastic thing that is to the right of the cluster.

Tony: The a/c cars have the vac. conrols on the under dash heater box, so they need the vac. can. I used a chevy s-10 vac ball in the turbo car.

Also, I gave you a call to see about some parts, call me back when you can. Thanks.

Hi Pintony,

How  about the rear wheel well moldings ?  Am looking for a set for my 72 Runabout that could be fixed to look like new again.. Do you figure the ones you have, (if the vehicle has them), would fit ?

They show up on E-Bay from time to time but the bids folks place on them go into orbit, way beyond my reach.

Would be interested if you have any.
