Title: Good timing for a Pinto sighting
Post by: 77turbopinto on May 12, 2006, 03:53:36 PM
So there I was, standing with my client in a driveway to a house in Marlborough that I had just showed to him, when an early (very nice) dark green Pinto goes down the street.

My client says "Hey, a Pinto! When was the last time you saw one of those?"

I said "Yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that..."

Kool...
Yesterday and the day before...and the day before that...
That`s a quote from "The Postman"...when Kevin Costner was doing Shakespear for General Bethlehem...sorry ...it just hit me!  :swirl:

Hey Bill,
It didn't happen to be a 72 or 73 Runabout did it?
Could have been one of my friends gettin' the cobwebs out for the new season. They have one that looks as though it just rolled out of the showroom.

I think starting Memorial Day week the Ocean Beach Monday night car shows in New Londen start up again. If you want to see a flock of ponies, come on down!
These guys, (my two buddies who are doing my body work, plus that got kicked out of a Norwich show cause they drew too much attention), got em' all. Wagons, Runabouts, & Sedans. They have a real nice Robin Egg Blue Sedan with a 302 in it that you would have no idea it had a V-8 in it. Stored it for them over the winter.
Mohegan Sun should be starting up again in another month or two with their Wedensday night fireworks car shows also, plus all of the cruise nights.
Who cares about gas prices? Am looking forward to the new season.
I've got a truck project I'm in the middle of right now, but then it's Warp Factor 10 on my Runabout. Hope to bring the dash to the upholster pretty quick. Will be posting pics of it after it's done.
Hope to see you this year.
