Title: FUEL SENDING UNIT
Post by: tim1223 on May 12, 2006, 08:26:13 AM
Hello everybody,    Does anyone know where to buy a new fuel sending unit?   I tried all of the local auto part stores with no luck.  I called Ford up and they laughed at me.  I even tried green sales nothing.  Any help would be great.   Buy the way its a 1975 ford pinto with a 2.3 liter.  Thanks  Tim

J.C. Whitney USED to have universal ones, I don't know if they are still available.

I didn't need the whole sending unit afterall.  I took the unit out of the gas tank, and replaced the float.  I also removed all of the rust off the fuel sending unit and from the gas tank.  Works like new now.  Tim
