Title: Engine Build/ parts comb?
Post by: streethorse on December 17, 2003, 08:52:14 AM
Does any one have any suggestions on what type of cam combination I should run in my 2.3? I plan to have the block bored 30 over, forged pistons(Wiesco or Keith Black), stock rods, Holley 4bbl intake w/ Edelbrock 1405 4bbl (maybe), Heddman armor coat equal length header. I am just at a loss as to what cam/ spring/ lifter comb. to use. I want to stay w/ hydr. , something pretty nasty but still streetable and dependable :-\

Esslinger has a Hydraulic cam with a 241/250 dur.-500/516 lift at a 116 centerline that would be a good cam but if I were you I would do some port work on the head and consider oversized valves. A big cam with out good breathing would not do much good.
