Title: fuel gauge

my fuel gauge doesnt work and in wondering what the proper fix for this is .if its to hard i might just leave it and fill it once a week or when i go out of town.it is a 79 runabout 2.3 auto thank you

Hello  FordMan,
Your float might have holes in it?
Drain the tank and pull the sender to find out.
Replacement floats  are available.

Where are just the floats available from?  Mine's fried too!
