Will the underdash center console from a '77 wagon fit in my '74 hatchback? Will I need to modify it, or is it a direct bolt in?
What is the part # on it? If you don't have it (like it is on ebay), find out what the mount bracket part # is for the 77.

As far as I know, there are three types of the mini-consoles that are interchangeable. there is the one used when the heater/AC (AC on 73 only, I believe) controls are mounted up above the radio. Then there are two different types where the heater/AC controls are mounted into the console. One fits up to '77 and has two exposed screws that mount it to the console. The later type, 78-80, has a snap-on bezel with a rounded top that covers the heater/AC control mechanism so there are no exposed mounting screws or bolts. These will physically fit, but it may depend on your specific needs as to whether they will work for you. There may also be a very early mini-console, but I haven't seen one in a long time and don't remember the details of it.
