Title: New addition
Post by: grgic on April 26, 2006, 08:21:48 PM
Just wanted to tell the pinto world that I have just added a 1973 squire wagon to my pinto family.
Found it sitting in a garage 5 miles from my house. It will be a long term project but it is all there
and runs.
I hope the coupe don't get jealous.

The Squire wagons rock.  The 73 was my first choice but I could not find a decent example and I had to settle for the 74.  Although I already have the 73 front bumpers for it as soon as I can find the rear bumpers I will pretty much have my 73.  Post up some pictures.

Sad news
I started going over the wagon and i don't think it is ever going to see the road again.
it is all rotted out in the rear , mice have eaten most of the wires.
I pulled the engine out and put it in my 72 coupe which was my original plan (i was going to put a 2.3 in the wagon). I will be putting up a post for parts in the near future.
not to worry, I wont let this wagon go to waste.

Sorry to hear it.  Since you are going to part it out I would like to talk to you about the bumpers and brackets when you get ready to part it out.

Jake
it has 3 front bumpers laying in the back.(haven looked at them closely yet) If the rear fits i may put it on my coupe
my coupe has a brand new one on the rear but it has the holes for the rubber strip.
