I posted under a different forum and got no help. I am getting ready to go from a ford 9in to a stock 79 6 3/4 rear end. I was wondering if anyone had and specs on the distance between the ring and the pinion. I am having one rebuilt and it feels a little sloppy. What do you guys think?
BTW there is a 4:11 gear for a 6 3/4 rearend on ebay right now. 4/21/06
I have the same set up in my garage with a limited slip.

Where does a person find an LSD for a pinto 6 3/4 Rear end?
I got mine from Walsh when he, (Jerry), was still located in Suffrin N.Y. It was advertised at the time in his catalog as being for a Mustang 2.
I still have it and a crush ring that was billed as being for a 6 & 3/4 when purchased from E-Bay.
If interested let me know.

Yes I would be interested! You can contact me at olsenkj@hotmail.com. Thanks. I picked up a locker for an 8", but I don't know if a locker would work very well in an auto cross application.
EP73Pinto,
Any interest in selling that 8" locker? What condition is it in?

Greenbeast,
Did not mean to stray too much from your original question.
I have a set of 73 factory service manuals around somewhere. Don't know if they have the set up information in them but I'll look.
