Title: my first pinto
Post by: BBfox on April 11, 2006, 12:30:09 AM
Ive always been a mustang kinda guy, but this little 75 bobcat may change that, i started looking at them on the internet and then began poking arround on this forum. soon i happened upon a black and silver bobcat only a few miles down the road and i had to buy it. To be honest i think it was the awesome paint scheme that got me. Too bad the 2.8 is dead, i dont like it anyway, in my opinion its one of fords worst motors. Im working on a 2.3 right now to get it back on the road. i believe it to be one of ford best non-v8 motors. Down the road im thinking turbo. Too bad about a year ago i had a chance to score a complete t/c motor for free and someone else got to it before i could.

this little gem had lost compression so bad it wouldnt pull up a mildly steep hill and my friends had to get out and push on their first ride, it also had that awesome inch thick crud all over the engine compartment

Neat little car.  You're right about the paint scheme.  The wheels fit nicley also.

thanks man, quick question though....should a 75 bobcat have clear coat, cause it apears that clearcoat is coming up in a lot of places?

I have no idea.  I am sure someone else on here will though.  I am always dealing with new paint jobs.
