does anybody know where you could get a 360 degree opening air cleaner assembly that will fit 1974 2.3? thank you.

I have never seen an aftermarket air can for these cars with a stock carb. You could trim the stock one it you needed.

Try K&N, they made one in the past and they might still be in production as the Pinto type carb is still used by the VW off road crowd. Another company called EMPI shows one in there 2004 catalog, rectangle shape 1 3/4" high.
