i need a new rad and i was wondering what rads out of other car will fit into the pinto with little or no modifcations?
Thanks,
Evan
Do you need a new one or a larger one??? They still make new ones, check www.radiator.com or radiatorbarn.com. Otherwise, look for one out of a Mazda or Courier P.U. from late 70's to early 80's. They come in 2 and 3 row models as well as with A/T coolers if needed.
the mitsubishi might-max and dodge d-50 rad will work with littlle bit of drilling to get some bolt holes for mounting. you have to use a lower flex hose because the lower inlet on rad. has a bend in it instead of coming out straight.
i'm just trying to find the best deal to get this thing going so i don't really want to buya brand new one unless i have to
I've heard of demo guys using mazda truck radiators. one guy said they bolt right in.
krazi
Chevy LUV radiator is also a direct bolt-up in Ford Pinto and vice versa. Had Pinto rad in one my Luvs for a long time. ;D
What about a 65-66 Mustang? They look very much the same?!?!

There is a possibility there, because I also know for a fact that radiator from 1961 thru 67 Ford econoline Van will fit in Chevy Luv perfectly, and having used a Pinto rad in my Luv before....well it might be worth checking out. ;D
