not sure what year my engine is but according to the chilton book i have a 2.3 liter oil pan on it.
What year is your car?? The older 2.0 engines are a totally different breed with virturally nothing interchangeable. The later model Ranger 2.0L have many interchangeable parts between them. WELCOME!!!!
i think it is a 1974 2.3l engine. it looks like it has hydralic lifters on it but could be wrong because this is my first car. I don't have the vin number so i can't search and see what type motor it is.
Did it have a coil for the ignition or and electronic ignition?
Jake
it has points with the coil.
Early 2.3L had points type ignition. If you have had your valve cover off to see it had hyd. lifters, did you notice if it had 3 or 4 cam bearings??? If it had 4 it,s a 2300.
it has four cam bearings. thank you very much. I've been trying to find out if it was a 2000 or 2300. thank you.
