Title: What oil pan do I use for a 85' 302 out of van? (For a Pinto V8 Swap)
Post by: chrisbad89m on March 29, 2006, 09:29:28 PM
I am asking this for a friend with a 74' Mustang II. It came with the V6 and it is already pulled out. He is going to use a 302 out of an 85' for van. So my question is what oil pan do I need to make this fit. The only ones I have found are for the older 302's that have a different rear main seal. If anybody could help I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Chris

front sump, '80's crown victoria- grand marquis with a 302 should work.

they are the same oil pans on all 79-91 fords(ltd, crown vic), 80-91 lincolns(full size rear wheel drive), and 79 or 80 mercs(grand marquis). and the "bubble" style cars(92 and newer) have the exact same frame under them so if you can find one with a 302 they will be the same pan also

then drop the car off at my house when your done :look:
