Hi everyone. My name is Bill and I am new to Pinto's, and the board. I have a buddy that has a Pinto he bought out of Georgia that he is planning on installing a 2.3 Turbo in. He got me really interested in Pinto's and I just pickep up one myself! It is a 1979 Pinto Wagon, and it already has a 302 and a C4. I am planning on doing some basic maintenance, and taking it to the strip this summer. Hoping to run high 13's with slicks, we will see. Look forward to being part of the group.

Hey Bill!
I am fairly new to them myself. I looked for almost two years before I found the right 74 Squire wagon. Good group here, I know I am glad I found it. I will be installing a 2.3 turbo setup in mine as well. Every once in awhile I kind of think about going V8 though. Nice car.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am just going to lurk a bit, and see what I can soak up, so I don't ask any stupid questions right off the bat.

Hello GRM1964,
Nice car. And nice v8!!!!!! Welcome to FordPinto.com. Home of the enthusiastic about the most remembered and then forgotten and then remembered again cars in american automotive history. Those that glance away only wish that they still had theirs today. Please don't worry about asking dumb questions.....it's a Pinto!!!! I recently attended a car meet here in Wichita and pulled in just behind a beauty of a black Chevelle. Well, it was funny watching their faces as they realized that the thunder was not comming from the Chevelle but from the Pinto Wagon. ThunderPinto II !!!!!!!
HA!!!!!! So here is a stupid question for you....What is your PintoWagons name????????

Thanks for the welcome! Awesome wagon you have there. You ever had it to the track? What kind of times you run, if you don't mind me asking. As for names, I haven't come up with anything for sure yet, but I am leaning towrd,: " The Pint Ho".

Pintony;
I live in Riverton, which is about 3 miles outside of Springfield. Me and a buddy work at the Mother Road Festival every year as a volunteers checking in cars. Maybe I will run into you this year.
Bill
PS Lemon Juice, I kinda' like that. I will have to do some thinking.
...Banana Split?!? ;)
GRM1964,
Banana split sounds good. I guess it's yellow. But I think your packing a v-8. I like the split part.
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......Splitz. And please, don't think I'm some kind of Name-your-Pinto-Ahaulic. Anybody that knows me will tell you I'm a Modiphile.
Thank you for the compliments GRM. Yes, I have been curious to see what time ThunderPinto would turn on the quarter with it's current configuration and we do have a nice little drag strip here in Wichita...Maybe this weekend after the rennasance fair. Keep it Pinto.

P.S. Lemon juice???? Pintony couldn't name his way out of a paper bag.
