Title: Pics of clutch and brake pedal removal.
Post by: Glassman on March 24, 2006, 07:18:59 PM
Since the 78 has an auto and I'm swapping in the T-5 with the turbo engine, I will have to swap the clutch and brake pedals also. As of right now I have removed the pedals from the 79 only. The 78 will be done at a later date. Its not much work just a lot of time on your back, with your arms and  :afro: under the dash. I removed the clutch cable from the pedal and then I was able to wrench off the three nuts securing the pedal to the column.

Then I removed the brake master cylinder rod and light switch from the brake pedal. I was now able to remove the clutch pedal bracket. I would probably have more room if I had removed the brake pedal first. :drunk: I was then able to take the clutch pedal out. I removed the bolt that holds the brake pedal up and removed the pedal.

To remove the clutch cable from the firewall, I found a deep socket that fit over the star clip( ???) tight enough to close it so the clutch cable could be pulled out.

Heres the goods.

Thank you Tony.
Every now and then someone asks how hard it is to do. I figured I would get a few pics online.
