I was told that a 1973 pintowagon that I'm going to go look at has a running 1.6 motor in it....This is what I was told...I haven't seen it yet... But was wondering what it would be worth..Or if they came in cars that year.... It has a auto transmission..... Info please..
Hello Nevada Pinto,
In 1973 Ford never put an automatic behind a 1.6 the only other engine for 1973 would be a 2.0.
Hard to say about price W/O Photos.

I had one once that I gave to a friend who was into SCCA racing. I think that they are still used in some of their class categories.
You may want to get in touch with BAT, (British American Transfer), www.batinc.net or Pegasus Racing, www.pegasusautoracing.net .They are both parts suppliers for Formula stuff in Florida and Wisconsen respectively. Have heard of them from time to time, but have never dealt with them.
They may have links to interested people. They also have stuff for two liter engines, but you'll need a bottle of oxygen when you see the prices. Hope this helps.

I also have a 1.6L engine that has been COMPLETELY gone through. If you know of anyone that needs or wants one I am willing to sell for a fraction of what was put in it. It has LESS than 3000 miles on it.
Please, PM me or E-mail me werksberg(nospam)@sbcglobal.net as a guy just this last week called me from the Northwest looking for one.....
