I am gutting an old ministocker I have and the floors are very good. All the pintos I have ever had have had good floors, so I need to know what would be worth saving. All the flat areas seem simple, so maybe the area under the front seats? It will be a pain to remove, but I don't want to junk it if someone here needs it. Please don't get your hopes up, I might not do it due to time issues, and shipping will be fairly hefty too.

Front floorboards under pedals seems to be where I see most of it.
Hi Bill,
The front of the floor pan, right under the dash is where I've had the most problems. The passenger side, right underneath the heater air inlet seems to be the worst with the oldest vehicles that I've come across.
If the vehicle sits out in the elements, rain water seems to pool under the air louvers and off to either driver or passenger side and if left to sit, almost always rots through to the inside interior corners where it seeps down to the carpet. Once underneath it there is a lot less chance of it evaporating very quickly, especially if the windows are shut.
I'm in the process of gutting a wrecked wagon, a 74 I think, and during the process I will try to go where I've never gone before, from the top down. I've never cut the top off in front of the windshield, where the water would go. Am curious to see what it looks like. Shouldn't take long with a sawzall. I don't see how to access it any other way.
The heater air inlet area is where I had the worst of it on my 72 Runabout. As I have my dash out and the interior gutted. it was the most obvious. The driver's side wasn't all that good but was better than the passenger side. I was going to go through the top there but was talked out of it. just tacked some sheet metal pieces where I had enough sheet metal left to hold it. Will let you know.

I know you can get in there thru the hood hinge holes, but there is not much room to work.
Might pull the cowl too, but everywhere else is shot.

yep, front floor pan.right about where you r.foot would be if your in the pass. seat.
The rear of the floor right in front of the rear seats is really prone to rusting.
I gutted and dumped that car about 8 weeks ago.
