Pinto Car Club of America

This is a picture of a pinto that I raced for the last three years.It is 1979 Runabout.It has about 75 nights of racing on it now.The first year I raced it I built the car in the middle of the seson and failed to win a feature.
  In 2004 I raced at Algona Speedway in Algona ,Iowa.I won the opening night feature.That put me on top of the points so I decided to make a run for the chamoionship.It was a 87 mile trip to the track,one way!I ended up with four feature wins that season at Algona and the track championship!I didn't expect that.
  In 2005 I raced at Slayton,Mn. at the Murray County Speedway.This was the first year of the four -cylinder class,so I thought I would come in swinging!I was lucky enough to win the opening night,and ended up with five feature wins and once again the track championship.I also had the most points out of EVERYONE at this track,even the modifies!Not bad for my poor liitle beat-up Pinto.I even had a feature win after a major crash on the backstretch.After I was spun out by another driver I was hit very hard in the left front.It bent my steering  rack,the fan was about a 1/4" from the fan.On the re-start I started in third position again and took the first two cars on the re-start!The car was very hard to drive because of the bent rack but I compensated for it in the corners and ended up going to victory lane with a smashed up car.That ended up being a very fun win after I thought I was done for the race.
I am building a fresh Pinto for 2006,going to a new track again.This seems to work for me,I can stay one step ahead of the competition.I will send pictures when I get her painted.(Or maybe one picture as a work in progress photo)

Pintos are tough to kill.I love to wreck 'em too.(But I also have a driver that I love.)

good job i ran at santa maria speedway finished 2nd in point's and i all so run at bakersfield speedway when i can and on opening night last sat april 1st they had 50 mini's in the pit's
