The vinal paint would be great if it works.
I thought about trying on the back side of a pannel just to see.
Maybe use a texture roller while the paint is fresh to make the design back???

Vinyl Paint works great. Here is a shot of my Green 72. I converted all the interior to black and used the Vinyl paint on all the vinyl.

There's either two things you can do to make the vinyl trim paint stick... Primer OR a can of spray called Adhasion Promoter. It's soul purpose is to give the paint something to grab on to. I have just used the vinyl paint & for a bit it looks ok, but then starts to flake off after a while. With the adhesion promotor it sticks on a lot better & you wont have to worry about it coming off. I used it on a set of door panels for the sedan & they still look good. & that's with them being tossed about waiting to be installed.

:text_yb_sorry: forgot to mention.. you want to make sure the panels are clean of any dirt & oils that will prevent the sprays to stick.
