a few weaks ago i pulled the 2.3 out of my old ranger in under an hour and thats including draining water, oil, bellhousing bolts, exhoust, carb, wireing, radiator,moter mounts, hood, and hooking up the chain to pull it out. without loosing 1 bolt.
and on most v8s (in fullsize cars and trucks) about 2-3 hours
I can pull the 408 out in 30 minutes.....iv'e done it way way too many times. Everything is on velcro ;D I can blow it up in 5 seconds (been there done that) I'm currently building my third engine for it in......3 years!

Well 63 minutes. thats pulling one with a spun bearing and installing another one and having it running and moving. the final 5 minutes was getting the timing right
I can pull the 4 cyl. out of my mini stock, using no air tools, in about 15 minutes. Can re-install in about 30.

Yeah, no wiring harness, no vacuum lines, no crap in the way. plenty of room to work. But that's the way they should make them from factory. I was down to 1/2 hour out, 1 hr in, on my street pintos.
