Title: 72 Pinto Sprint?

Does anyone ave any info on the Sprint option? Any info would be appreciated....i.e...... prdoction numbers, optional equip, etc. etc. ;D >;) ;D

The 72 Sprint options were
1.red,white and blue exterior accents
2.trim rings with color keyed hubcaps
3.dual racing mirrors
4.red,white and blue cloth and vinyl bucket seats
5.full carpeting
6.deluxe 2-spoke steering wheel
7.stars and stripes decal
8.A78X13 white sidewall tires
9.blackout grille

i erally like the look to that, i was thinking about getting my pinto painted either like that, with red and black, or black on body, and red on the top, cause mine appears to have been a vinyl top at once, cause there is glue marks and an off colored paint, so i think either would look sick.

I was looking for some parts for my son's 79 when I ran across a complete car in a junk yard in western Illinois. Junk or salvage title, but the owner said he would sell the whole thing complete.

Yes, they are rare..

I have known of only 2 from the beginning of the Ford Pinto Mailing List on the net... Yes, that far back & I have heard almost nothing of the sprint.

I have yet to see an actual pciture of the real car..

If I get back to that area I will take some pics. So how much time/money is it worth? Rear quarters are bad, flooors are gone, hasn't run in who knows how long? is it worth the time and effort? Let me know what you all think.
