Title: Rear Shock Absorber Bolts
Post by: PinkPintoRacer on February 06, 2006, 09:57:54 PM
Ok, here is my newest problem.  I was under the race car and noticed that the left rear shock was off.  Upon investigation, the square nuts that the top mount screw into, came off.  What would be the best way to put them back in so they stay there.......HELP THE FIRST RACE IS SATURDAY..........

Replace with teflon nuts.

That would be a nut with a teflon insert for self locking.

Maybe drill thru the floor of the car and drop bolts down thru, tack weld them in (after you bolt in the plate).

Drilling thru the floor board is my choice, so far.  I bought some carrage bolts that I am going to try with the locknuts....
