Can anyone tell me if the fuel tanks between years are interchangeable. I have a 79, and a guy with a 78 wants the fuel tank, I dont want to sell it and ship it to him if it wont work...just bad karma......

My guess would be as long as your putting sedans W/ sedans and wagons W/ wagons as far as fuel tanks go they should interchange.
I know the 1971-73 Pinto sedan tanks are different BUT with that statement I know the later Pinto tank will fit Because someone installed the later tank on my Pangra. Which I plan to remove when I get started on it.

Thats the way i beleive it to be too, tony. The only difference i know of is in the sending units.
