On my 74 wagon it has the switch on the seat where you can only start it with the seatbelt on or sitting in the car (I dont know which), my question is how do you bypass this. I washed my car yesterday and now the only way to start it now is every time you have to raise the hood and push the reset button. It could be a real problem if I ever get into the trade of robbing banks with my beloved PINTO.

You should be able to Dis-able the switch by removing the plug from the switch that has the button and install a LOOP to by-pass the stupid switch.
