Title: KYB shocks any bettern than Monroes?
Post by: gearhead440 on January 17, 2006, 02:49:03 PM
Any experience with using KYB's or any other shock for that instance?  I would like to hear experience with the KYB's prior to purchasing them. I'm rebuilding the front end for a V8 swap soon and good Monroe shocks listed for the MII V8 are about the same price as the KYB's.  Thanks!

My experience with KYBs was with their gas shocks and they provided more control than any Monroe shock I have ever tried using. With the additional weight of the V8 and the heavier springs you'll more than likely use, the extra control the KYBs provide should make for a more pleasant driver.

79Panel, just the info I was looking for and I thank you  ;D.  I have gotten my springs and will be using front and rear sway bars from a Mustang II (1" and 5/8" I think).  You dont happen to recall any part numbers do you?
