Title: Can you put the older style pinto front end on a later model car?? like a 79'
Post by: 79pintowagon on December 27, 2005, 10:08:38 PM
I am probably going to put a 351W in my pinto, I wanted to know if I could buy an earlier model fiberglass 1-piece front end and put it on my 79? Didn't know if the body lines would match up...thanks,

Tad

74/78 YES! 71/73 MABY. I put a 74 front end on a 80Pinto with no problems.

74-76 front will look good on the 79-80, but you will probably have to use the 79-80 bumper.

We put an older style and newer style front end on our race car and all the body lines matched up fine.  We had to use some of the fender braces off the newer style pinto to get them to bolt up but everything bolts right up.  We've also had a 74 or 75 Bobcat front end on the car also.
