Hello, this is my first time on this site as I just purchased a 1971 pinto about a month ago. The car wasn't running so I did a complete tune-up, changed the carb, battery wires, solenoid, starter, and fuel pump. The car ran fine for about two weeks and then it would only turn over but not start. I noticed the ditributor cap's nubs were burned. I changed the cap and the car ran for a day and the same thing happened to the cap. I can't find any ballast resistor thinking this might be the cause. Can anyone help?
