This was mounted on the inner fender of my '74 runabout. It didn't do anything (well, nothing that I could tell) when the car was together and it ws plugged into the harness...can anyone tell me what it's function was?
Curious,
Paul
Thar's one of those Secret Service Vehicle Trackers, SSVTs for short. (Not to be confused with VD which is sometimes associated with public officials)
grin,
That looks like the seat-belt starter interlock over-ride switch. I know they had a button on the 74s where the "seats were smart".....if you were not sitting in the seat, it would not crank. also if you werent buckled in i think it wouldnt start either. Pushing that button allowed to override that system one time - used for repair purposes. It was often times removed later on and was no longer required after 74 i think. I'd have to look up the info again.
